Try chaning the thread concurrency. Look on github for recommended value for a 7950.

I didn't say my config options would work for your card.

For a start try with  cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://xxxx:3333 -u xxx.h -p xxxx -I 12 -g 2 -w 256 , and add parameters to see if it works. Look for the nearest model of your card on github for options.

From github link:

5450    21.6    ?    891 MHz    875 MHz    cgminer 2.11.3    --intensity 18 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 80 --worksize 256 // Arch linux, Catalyst 13.1-4

So try  cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://xxxx:3333 -u xxx.h -p xxxx -I 18 --lookup-gap 2 --shaders 80 --worksize 256

Play a little with options (read the README file).

It takes a little tweaking.

read: https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/wiki/Mining-hardware-comparison#wiki-ATI_AMD_GPUs
and the readme file of the cgminer.

I use cgminer 3.7.2 with a 7870:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://xxxx:3333 -u xxx.h -p xxxx  -I 12 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8000 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1400 --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale -s 1

I think the -I 12 -g 2 -w 256  options are needed for it to work.

I am willing to help. PM me with details if you need a tester.

Mining & Pools / Re: Do you leave your mining rig 24/7?

One server and one workstation are on 24/7 (~100 kh/s), my gpu minter is on for about 14 hours a day.

Create a .bat script and use options like this:

cudaminer.exe -H 1 -d 0 -i 1,0,0 -l auto,F27x3,K28x4 -C 0,2,1 -o stratum+tcp://poolserver.com:3334 -O workername:password

I got an very old nvidia quadro working at 50kh/s like this. If you have two cards, add -d 0,1  or read the readme file.

Mining & Pools / Re: GoldCoin: How to mine with a GPU using CGMiner
« on: December 04, 2013, 01:38:00 PM »
If anyone has problems achieving good ks/s with a radeon 7870 ( I certainly had), use this setting:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool:3331 -u username -p password  -I 12 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8000 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale -s 1

Will try. Currently have 4 miners with about 500kh/s. Nothing fancy but will try to grab as much coins as possible.

I am so angry at myself... Was looking into bitcoin around 3 years ago when it was under 1 dollar, but didn't mine any cause I thought nah this wont stick.

I am not gonna repeat that mistake. GLD all the way!

Is GLD traded (in $, not other coins) on any exchange? I can't seem to find any.
