Question regarding stats at http://coinmarketcap.com/
« on: November 16, 2013, 04:52:57 PM »
Hi everyone,

So looking at the gldcoin placement on http://coinmarketcap.com/ , I have to ask:

How often does that site update its stats and where does it get its info?

Example:

Today (11-16-13) it has gldcoin at 18th place, 156k mrk cap value, 28 million plus outstanding gldcoins

-Where does it get its outstanding coin count from?
-Where does it get its price from?  Is it against BTC?  I ask because the other day I purchased gldcoin from CoinEx for .000014 BTC, when it shows on this crypto-currency cap site at .0055  Something seems off here.

Thank you for any info!

It updates its numbers regulary.

It gets its data from GLD block explorer http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com about the number mined GoldCoins.

The 0.0055 on http://coinmarketcap.com is the price in dollars and coinex uses BTC price. http://coinmarketcap.com converts 0.00001400 BTC price into $0.0055.
