I joined up GoldCoin for a couple reasons I guess.  I was looking at the performances of alt coins http://coinmarketcap.com/ as I literally just jumped head first into the mining scene.  So I decided to pick 2 coins with a descent track record and see how they performed.  GoldCoin was my first choice as it seemed like a promising new comer (and don't take offense to this, I refer to it as a penny stock, with great potential) since I can get in on the ground floor for small change but in no way derogatory.  The other reason was The Gold Coin Report by MicroGuy, I watched all the reports prior to my choice and thought well this fella shows solid passion and interest and is at least willing to put on a show (Don't think any other coin does it!)  So I came and signed up just missing the "Majestic" run.  Either way glad to be here and be part of a the community looking forward to the GLDCoin Futures!

The other was WorldCoin (please don't burn me) I have treated this as a backup if something is going on, on the GLD side of things (like we had recently with the upgrades and pools being updated.

So far I'm happy with the selection of GLD Coin and WDC as my alternate they have both given me something to look forward to, hopefully this wallet gets good and loaded with GOLD!!!

I joined to see how active the GoldCoin community was. After seeing that is was well and alive I started my own pool and began promoting the coin. I see the network hash rate growing daily and I am anticipating a bright future for it.

Came here to help micro.
I am happy that i have done this.
Since I join Goldcoin world, I look at hashrate from 60M to 120M.
Everyone here are so active and endeavor to promote goldcoin.
GoldCoin really have a great foundation.
Many Alt coins are "bubbles", climb up fast, drop, died out.
We are not! Though GLD price fluctuates so much, I believe that GLD won't be a "bubble". We will go up, stand at the top of the hill.

Everyone who joined world of Goldcoin and this forum should make their best to promote us and solve problems.
Long live the Goldcoin. :D

Like most people, I've been watching suspiciously from the fringes, but as I've learned more I've begun to realize that the digital currencies could help solve many of our world's most pressing problems.  I like this enthusiasm and effort shown here so I've decided to get my toes wet with the gld stuff.

Welcome to all of our new members! (:D)

The most important aspect of any currency is the size and quality of the community that supports it. You will notice as you navigate these forums that we've built a special community here full of great people working together.

I encourage you all to get (and stay) involved as the strength of Goldcoin is derived from the energy of its community.

I seriously think this particular motivation is a stronger pull than perhaps is given credit.

Oh Yeah! I almost forget about that. Having the best name doesn't hurt either!  :)
