BBQCoin Success

BBQCoin is currently trading higher now because of one news article.  I cannot remember which one but it was mainstream and they were talking about altcoins.  They asked the creator of BBQCoin about it and he said he had created it as a joke.

Basically, for those interested in "virutal currencies" without familiarity of the landscape, they now have this one bit of name recognition.  In their world, it is bitcoin, litecoin and BBQCoin.

Yeah I saw that article, I think it was the Wall Street Journal?

I remember seeing a picture of a glass door with BBQ coin written on it.

Think they also mentioned Peercoin.

Cryptsy was talked about in this article in the Wall St Journal, and also in the New York Times. That's some big exposure for cryptsy. This is GLDs biggest exchange, so while there seemed to be a lot of name dropping of other currencies its ok cos once they're on cryptsy they come across AZIZ1977 bigging up Goldcoin in the troll box!  ;D

I seen it on Cryptsy as well, they guy was from NY that accepted the BBQcoins. He said something like he isn't going to get rich from bitcoin but from bbqcoin or something like that. The guy that started bbq said he only did it as a joke and forgot about it. He has nothing to do with it now.

That a boy AZIZ push it, but not to hard lol Don't want people mad at you in the troll box.....

I find it funny sometimes when someone is talking about a coin they like. They go a little overboard and everyone gets mad lol Shut up you don't know what your talking about, That coin sucks, etc. etc.

It's enjoying the coattail effect from Bitcoin, same as all other crytpos right now. As is, it's never going to go much further than that. Mostly I think people are messing around with it because it has a funny name.
