I agree 100%.

As people begin to realise the name is 'psychologically' very important for mainstream use it will outclass other 'geeky' named coins.

Plus there is a growing community of faithful supporters backing Goldcoin up from the early days, most over coins don't have our levels of activity on their forums.

Beyond the name, there is a solid, professional team behind GoldCoin -- IMO, this is what will take it to the top.  Without a great team, you have nothing.

That's why I really enjoy Goldcoin as well.  Great dev team working on it...

However, we can really help them out by being active in the community and spreading the word.  We're all in this together until the day that GLD becomes top 5 crypto currency in the world!  We need to generate more visibility and support from online vendors and it will really take off!
