Android wallet backup keys

Few days back I exported the keys from  android wallet and after installing 1.06 version imported those keys back. Though import was successful, the app is not synchronizing. 

Let dev team work on it from there side, I am sure soon they will come up with solution. My question in this scenario is it possible to import the keys exported from android device in to windows client? If yes, how?

My understanding is the file format of the android device key file is not compatible with the desktop client.

While the android app key file is not compatible with the desktop client, the keys inside that file are.  I will need to gather the information later to show how to get the keys out of the password protected key file and then import them to the desktop client with the importprivkey command.

Also, the app should be updated in 2 days with version 1.10 (any other version of the app will not sync).

This option is not currently supported. In the future, there might be a tool to facilitate this process.

There is a way to get the private keys from the android app (but it may not be easy):

1.  Backup your keys and choose to archive your keys via email such that you can get the backup on the computer with your desktop client
2.  Obtain OpenSSL (http://www.openssl.org/related/binaries.html)
3.  The manual backup files are encrypted using your chosen password. You can use OpenSSL to decrypt:
     openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -a -in <filename>
4.  Once the file is decrypted, then open it in notepad to get your keys.
5.  Import the keys into the desktop client by going to Help | Debug window | Console.
6.  For each key use this command:  importprivkey <key> [label]

This is the command what I had to use for it to work
enc -d -aes-256-cbc -a -in C:\Users\Shawn\Desktop\goldcoin-wallet-keys-2014-01-21 -k b -out C:\Users\Shawn\Desktop\test.txt

I had to make a output text file and also put -k passcode for the password for the main commands to work correctly without wiping out the original file

Thanks for the update.  This is not something I have tried myself.
