Hello, I mined a block around 16 hours ago, and still didn't receive 45GLD, how long do I have to wait?

Also, what is the best GLD mining pool? I'm currently using http://gld.dencoinpools.com and the website seems very unstable.

Also, at my current speed (350kh/s) I should be mining around 10 blocks an hour, but I only receive around 1 per hour? Are blocks taking into account when calculating this?

Thanks in advance!

with 350 kh/s you will get max  ~135 coins a day. Thats 3 blocks in 24 hours.

The mined block could have been an orphan.

What does orphaned block mean? Also, I only get around 10 coins with 350kh/s so something is wrong.

P.S. I accidentally sent a report to the moderator because I thought it was the reply button.

Orphaned blocks are valid blocks but not part of the main block chain. That means the block will be rejected.

Goldcoin devs have just released a patch, network is slowly normalizing and pools at this moment cant give you an exact number of coins due to lot of orphanes. These will get less and less in 12-24 hours.

Alright, thanks, I'll just keep mining and hopefully I'll gain much more coins.

Also, do I need to update something in order to make the new patch work? Or can I just keep mining with any version of cgminer?

The mined block could have been an orphan.

I have a question then, I recently started mining this past week I wanna say Tuesday or perhaps Monday night (CST).  And I barely have 190GLD 1 week later my rate is 466khash.  I know we had some new code go out a day or two ago but something just isn't adding up right compared to all the information I have been seeing.  Is it a problem with the pools and code or my setup?  Pools are showing I average about 0.01-0.02% invalid.  And I've been trying to watch for the orphans when I can and take into account the code change but even before the code change.

Is my hash rate really only going to net me about 190GLD over the course of 5-7 days?  If so that is seriously not worth it and I have been wasting electricity on this.  I even try to watch it every 30mins-1hr marks to make sure the pools are up as it seems all the GLD Pools are very unstable.  On a side note in 2 days I took off GLD while the code was being worked out I mined 191 WDC coins so something is wrong here.

Anyways just looking for some clarity

From reviewing Coinwarz.com GoldCoin Calculator your breakdown for 455 kh/s with the current difficulty would be:

Hourly: 2.77096672 GLD
Daily:  66.50320127 GLD
Weekly:  465.52240892 GLD

But, you need to understand that those are just averages -- I actually consider them more like educated guesses.  What doesn't come into play into that estimate is the consistent changing of difficulty and the luck of the pool you are mining at.  While your invalid may be only 0.01 - 0.02% invalid, the pool avg will likely be considerably higher (due to some of the issues with the code allowing difficulty to be too low with too high of a GoldCoin overall hashrate recently) - creating an excessive amount of orphans which you would not get paid on over the past 3 days or so.

I'll use pool gld.hashfaster.com as an example of this, over the past 7 days they have found 256 total blocks, of those blocks 129 were valid and 127 were invalid.  Thus, they are just at about 50% ratio.  So, only those 50% blocks would get paid over those 7 days.

However, it shows that the difficulty is getting closer to the actually needed point when you look at the pool's 24 hour stats. 75 blocks found, 66 were valid and 9 invalid.

Hope this helps!

Ah that makes sense again I'm still new to all of this and trying to at least stay in positive number and not just burn energy, I also purchased more hardware to take me to almost 3000 khash range so hopefully that will pan out.  Thanks for shedding some light on this.
