Hi all ;)

I very recently discovered and started learning about crypto-currencies a week or so ago. Your community seems to be a mature and friendly one and I quite like the sound of GoldCoin, so I would like to get involved if I may? I hope that I have not left things too late as I did with Bitcoin.

It is unfortunate that although I had vaguely heard of Bitcoin occasionally over the past few years, I never really properly investigated it. Had I done so 18 months ago when I was actually looking for something to invest in, then I would most likely be a multi-millionaire by now, sigh...

Anyway, I would like to attempt some mining, although I don't even have a graphics card yet due to financial constraints, but perhaps I now have addition justification for investing in one.  Perhaps someone might be so kind as to suggest a model that would be effective in this regard without breaking the bank?

Anyway, until then, I guess I will see how I get on with just my CPU ;D

If you want to discuss graphic card options please make a separate post in the Mining & Pools section where a further, more thorough discussion can take place.

I am in Kent good to see other people in my position in England investigating Altcoins. I am in exactly the same position you are. Heard about them 18+ months ago didn't do anything and now kicking myself. Still I have amassed an amazing 0.02BTC in Cryptsy so far and looking for the next big bitcoin style riser. Hopefully Goldcoin is it! I am going to see if I can save enough in the different currencies I have to trade for some. Going to be tough but you gotta start somewhere!
