GoldCoin Paper Wallet (how does that work?)
« on: December 12, 2013, 05:40:09 PM »
I've gone the site http://goldcoinwallet.com/ which allows users to generate new GLD wallets and print both the wallet address and the private key for the new wallet.  There are no instructions on the site as to what to do with said printouts.  I can see that  technically I can edit the config file of my GoldCoin client to set the wallet values to what is on the paper, but that seems too tech-rogue to be viable to the masses.  So how do I get the QR codes or the straight-up address/private key pairs into a wallet (new or existing)?

Let's break it down: My kid downloads the GoldCoin client and he installs it correctly on his computer.  I create one of these paper wallets (I have no idea what the "brain wallet" option does), and send 100 coins to the address on the paper.  How does he associate the paper wallet with his client/wallet and get those coins into his wallet?

Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks for pointing out that the documentation is lacking.
