Worked some more on legacy support.

Also made a dependancy change to improve client EC performance.

I'm sorry this project thread is ending up like one of those windows loading bars where the length of the bar has nothing to do with how much time is left.

Thanks for the update, the bars might feel like the windows loading bars, but when you look at your hard drive light and it continues flickering, you know that something is happening,  this is what your update means, and it gives me a good feeling to know that things haven't frozen up.   

I am truly very excited about this project and if its anything close to what has been promised I believe you have a winner here.

Goldcoin has something great, and im excited to be a part of it.

Would it be advisable to wait for the new client before downloading the wallet in order to move coins off of Cryptsy?

It's safe to download the wallet now and move coins off Cryptsy. Just be sure to backup your wallet.dat file and store it somewhere in a safe place.

I noticed in the Goldroom chat that the secret feature of the wallet is the ability to back Goldcoins with Physical Gold directly.
This is great, i would however like to know if this is the case would it be possible to back it with another precious metal eg: Silver or is it to Gold only ?

I am glad to see that progress is been made and want to thank everyone at this forum for all the input they are making every where across the internet. I seem to be finding more and more mention of Goldcoin popping up.

Sorry, there are no new updates to report of.

Been busy IRL and I had to waste two days recently setting up my VMs for testing the client on.

Plan on resuming work on the client tommorow.

I was looking at https://cryptothrift.com/ yesterday and followed the link where they mentioned being on Yahoo news. It looks like they used a wire service to disseminate their initial press release.  This is the company they used: http://www.accesswire.com/how_it_works.aspx

Maybe this is something we could do to publicize the new client once it nears beta release.

They dont seem to have any pricing on there site, so im just waiting for them to get back to me and i will request some pricing. If the pricing is good it could be an excellent way of getting the news out for the new wallet.
