If you have never looked up a Coin address to see the transactions and balances,
let me give you a little help. Go to GoldCoin block explorer at this address "http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/address" and input the GoldCoin Giftcard Address. That's it.Importing Private Key Instructions.
Open your GoldCoin wallet client.
Click on
help then click on
debug window then
click console.
In the console window at the command prompt type:
importprivkey followed by a
space and type the private key address.
Should look like this:
importprivkey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "replace the X's with the private key address".
Press Enter and give it time to import the key before closing the window or your client/wallet will freeze up. That's it.
If you have an encrypted wallet you need to unlock it temporarily before importing private key.
Should look like this to unlock it:
walletpassphrase xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 120 "replace the X's with your passphrase".
The 120 is how many seconds it will be unlocked. You can change this if you need more time.
I like to wait about 5 minutes and shut down the client/wallet and restart it after importing keys.
If you would like, you can save the image of the card you won and use it however you want to.
I will be deleting the private key after you import it so you are the only one that has it.
Just so you know, the gift card image is floating around on the web. Someone may donate coins to it!
You may want to post the image on the web yourself and spread the word of GoldCoin and at the same time get donations.
