Goldcoin Vs Bitcoin
« on: November 17, 2014, 02:39:20 PM »
Before i start i know Goldcoin is not here be against bitcoin solely but i would like people to put there opinions forward about why they think goldcoin is better for them rather than Bitcoin.

A couple of reasons from me: Bitcoin is out of reach by millions/ billions of people who will not even be able to afford 1 single coin, goldcoin is very affordable therefore adoption by newcomers should be more inviting and bring confidence.

The total number of supply 123,423,900 is a lot better than 21,000,000. Having more coins available should opt for better adoption. It will mean potentially having more goldcoins being used by more people.

Goldcoin offers massive marketing advantages over any other coin thats including bitcoin, relating gold to digital gold will be understood by everyone world wide, as said before the name and meaning of Gold is massive and it can also offer investment. People all over the world   can relate to gold, now they will have the chance to relate to gold but digitally for either a investment or as a currency. Potential Countries where gold is very important are India, South Africa (Goldcoin conference) and China! Targeting South Africa like what were going to do is great.

Most importantly 1 Goldcoin is currently 0.00001901 (at time of Post) so 0.10 USD (10 cents) will get you around 14 Goldcoins, look at the benefits in the way that people will be willing to buy goldcoin, it is affordable to nearly everyone. Bitcoin is not, why would you use it if you can't afford it.

A honest opinion and a sad fact.

Except for the name of our coin.
I don't see any reason that goldcoins are any better than btc.

This is just my opinion though.

What is sad? This makes no sense.

Perhaps if you read more and educate yourself, you will be able to make more intelligent comments.  :)

Hi Ezra

This is an extract i made on :

"I do believe competition is a necessity and a good thing, but at the same time, I think to much choice is a bad thing, as in the case of the over, what, 500 coins out there. I firmly believe that we would be better served if only a handful of coins are supported and when I say this, I mean unique coins, not just copies or clones of Litecoin or Bitcoin, but coins that have something unique and well in my opinion something great to offer.

Goldcoin for me is one of those, it’s a unique coin "51% Attack System", has something great to offer "The new Multi Coin Wallet" and with a name like Goldcoin, well all I can say here is, when I run a race, I run to win the Gold. "

@Micro

That's why I said it is just an opinion.
Sorry if I said anything that offends you.
Considering that you are the owner of the coin.

I am not offended, nor am I the creator or the owner of Goldcoin. These types of misunderstandings (or beliefs) in your mind is why I previously suggested that you do some additional reading. Cryptocurrencies are not owned by anyone - they belong to the community.  :)

It might be helpful to begin with an elementary understanding of Bitcoin: https://bitcoin.org/en/faq
