Hello there folks, I am new here...I am quite new to the cryptocurrencies...basically getting majority...of my coins through faucets..I learned about Bitcoins...just a couple of months back..around 4 or 5...months ago...I don't quite know much about CryptoCurrencies and I would like to learn more...and earn more...I heard about GoldCoin while browsing through another forum and that brings me here....so please be gentle with me.

Welcome!  I'm rather new to the community here and Goldcoin as well, but I'm not new to cryptocurrencies. 
I'd be more than happy to help you continue growing your wallet, but I'd be curious to here on where you're looking to expand.

If you're looking for easier ways to purchase altcoins, such as Goldcoin, I really recommend Cryptsy.  Here's a link:

I find that exchange to have the widest assortment of coins to trade in and although the verification process is sort of time consuming, it makes it easy to purchase a variety of currency using money from a bank account.

If you're looking to mine coins, which is a hobby I'm just starting to get back into, you're probably going to have a bit more research to do, but I'd be happy to help you out if that's a direction you're looking to go.

I am not really interested in mining. The main reason behind that is my computer is so old that I highly doubt it will even be worth it to try and mine Gldcoin with this computer. As far as buying Goldcoins at the moment goes...sadly can't do that as well...hopefully in the future I will be able to. Right now I am just running around being a faucet runner.

No problems with that!  You might think faucets have easily pay outs when converted to local currency but such was the case for Bitcoin at one time too...

That said, Goldcoin still has a low, low difficulty which means even if you're running cpuminer you can still probably grab a few shares at a pool.
