[WANTED] Trusted Moderator Recommendations
« on: June 11, 2013, 09:42:25 AM »

It won't be long before I'm going to need some help moderating this forum.

This individual should have experience moderating and dealing with a wide range of personalities. It must be someone who can be trusted and who will project a positive and professional image for Goldcoin. I'm willing to pay this person a fair compensation in GLD on a weekly basis.

Please type in the thread below your votes and recommendations.
"The heart of any cryptocurrency can be found in the spirit of its community."

I would also like to put my hands up. I have experience in online administration. I have conducted a team of podcasters on a weekly basis for Australia's No 1 Android news site, Ausdroid.net I also have experience in web design mainly Wordpress and also graphic design. I believe I can not only provide in a moderation role but also a design role.

I have no history when it comes to being a mod, but I would like to try. :)

Honestly this will lead nowhere if we all recommend ourselves. Yes I've though about it myself, but anything anyone write for themselves can be fake, I'd rather hear the word of someone else.
I'd vote for akumaburn, but I don't like your reusme at all.

If aziz is here and willing to be a moderator, he gets my vote, otherwise akuma.
Keep recommending yourselves sigh..  ;)

Akumaburn should do a good job...Sting17 is active and more experienced... (based on my opinion of their posts over the last few weeks). Microguy has to work with them, so it's his say.

.. I have nothing against others, but not enough info... Perhaps a small advisory committee might be useful.

I would like to apply for this position. I am not ridiculously experienced with IT stuff or things like that. However, I don't think you need a moderator or someone similar in order to help you with technical things. I think you need one to help you work with GLDCoins and build up the GLDCoin ecosystem while managing various GLDCoin projects. I believe that I am active enough, I can work on GLDCoin for 4+ hours a day, plus I am really interested in helping this coin.

I have the stake in goldcoins for this to be a seriously worthwhile project for me, and I would love to see the price of GLDCoins multiply by 10 times in the next month, and don't plan on selling my stake until it reaches at least 10x the price. I can put some money into this though not too much money, however, I will focus on helping the forums. Let me know anything.

I also agree with this Major, I think it needs to be split into a Moderator Group and an Advisory Committee for the coin itself.

Other then me voting myself, I vote for Major if he puts his hand up

I would love to be mod, but I would also put my hand for major if he steps up. However, I am still a little bit worried because I didn't see him for the last week:).

MajorMax, Sting17, Marink, bitshirehashaway, AZIZ1977.

These are all trustworthy candidates for moderator status, if they are willing to do it.

Thanks for all these great nominations.

Once everyone has had a chance to provide input we can begin tabulating the results. I think one of the requirements should be that the identity of the person is known and verified by staff. Once the candidates are narrowed down, we can work out a verification process. On another topic, I see the chart at Cryptsy looks nice.

... looks like a great day for gold.  ;D

I also agree with this microguy. The chosen mods must to a degree verify they are who they are. I look forward to more input and finally the results.

I guess I'll lose some points verifying because I'm 14 and most people wouldn't like a 14 year old managing there forum:). Though I try and act above my age. It is a good day for gld though not a good day for me because I'm trying to purchase 108k on Cryptsy:).

Age is not the single most important factor for me. But of course I can't speak for the others. My oldest son is 15 and experiments with his own small business ideas with some success. And I tell him often to never let his age hold him back. He even let me borrow $100 last week.  :)

(FYI: I didn't mean to edit your thread, I meant to select "quote".)
