[Official] GoldCoin (GLD) Open Workforce Project
« on: May 31, 2015, 01:12:51 PM »
Introducing the GoldCoin (GLD) Open Workforce Project™

Overview:

One of the main problems facing digital currency is the lack of incentive for community members to remain involved. To solve this problem and to attract and reward those individuals that would like to contribute, I have created the GoldCoin Open Workforce Project.

This project will help GoldCoin in a number of ways by bringing utility to GLD, increasing trade volume, attracting new talent, growing the community, and adding another unique characteristic to our already very special brand. It also allows those without the resources to acquire costly rigs, to mine Goldcoin like people have mined precious metals for decades - by providing labor with their very own hands.

Salary/Payments:

Each worker is guaranteed to earn a minimum of $40.00/month. The appointed paymaster (currently me) will be responsible for checking worker outpost threads each Friday, verifying POW, and submitting worker payments in GoldCoin.

Proof of Work:

To be eligible for Friday payday, you must simply provide POW in your outpost thread for that week. We require a minimum of 2 outpost updates to be eligible for that week's payment. You are mining gold the old fashioned way, with your hands. Provide a fair week's work and receive a fair week's pay.

New: To be eligible for Payroll on Friday, your payment address on the explorer must contain a minimum balance of 1000 GLD. The first 1000 GLD will be sent to the worker upon acceptance into the workforce. http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/rich

Slack Team:

All active workers will be invited to Slack and provided with full access to the team and its channels. The slack team is for active workers only. An active worker is someone that has been eligible for payroll at least one week during the previous 30 days.

Available Positions:

A list of filled and open positions will be maintained in post #2 of this thread. This is where community members can monitor openings and the names of active workers. If a worker goes 'radio silent' for more than 30 days, he will be defined as inactive and his position will become open and available.

How to Get Started:

If you are interested in participating, please reply in this thread listing the skills you can bring to the table and position desired. Everyone that applies will be accepted regardless of sex, race, experience, or nationality. The only requirements are that you provide weekly POW, be community/team oriented, and continuously strive for GoldCoin's greatest good.

Please support this project by donating GLD below:

Payroll wages have now been paid to all workers for the week of July 12, 2015.

I have also started a new thread at Bitcointalk to advertise this new program: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1126722.0

Let's all brainstorm on how we can most effectively communicate with each other and apply our skills to strengthening Goldcoin. It might also be a good idea to browse through the old threads in this forum to see some of the dropped ideas and incomplete projects that might be worth resuming.

Cryptosolar's grandmother just died, so he'll be on leave for a few days. Last year we had a project board: https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=2423.0. I think we'll need something like this to stay organized and focused. I'm going to make sure we don't drop the ball this time around. :)

I suggest Slack as a new hub for team collaboration!  Looks very similar to Trello; many good (free) services there with a nice UI.

MicroGuy can create a team for us - or If you'd like, I'd be willing to start a page with the proper privileges, which can be later adjusted accordingly.

I'll PM you my BTC address in a few mins - curious as to what role(s) I've been delegated!!!

Cheers!

Slack looks like a great platform for our needs. I'll work on getting a team page created tomorrow and post a link. I'll also take a look at this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1126722.0 and see if I can spot another candidate or two.

Then we can begin discussing how we should best delegate tasks and manage the project. :)

Having basic knowledge in just about everything (sorry no JAVA though), over a decade in hardware & several years in many other things.

1. 10+ years of knowledge in 80% of all PCB components made (CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD & SSD, VGA / DVI / HDMI, IDE / SATA, etc..), except major server components & mostly everyday devices.

2. 5+ years of software installation (all operating systems, not all Linux, as that's quite a few to test) & troubleshooting errors (mostly Windows). Basic wireless networking as well (simple modem & router installations), not really in-depth & still lack the whole tor/onion or anon thing (not really something I care to learn & better suited for someone else). Several years of tech support (in person, not on-line or the phone), one position was to upgrade office PC's & was on the phones the first day (home schooling program AOP). Great with communication, just not in certain situation & scored a 82.61% on the evaluation (just wasn't the job I was told to be hired for, but promised them 3 weeks anyway & learned in that time).

3. 3+ years of repair & custom builds (PC's & Consoles, very few tablet / phones), top to bottom & everything in between (Printed Circuit Boards & other component repair / troubleshooting of problems, BGA rework & soldering). Power supply & LED module repair, little programming & firmware updates (just getting into development boards again). Here's one of my facebook pages showing a few projects, https://www.facebook.com/WolvesDenofTech & tried really hard to make it mostly volunteer work (flatrate & some projects were a few cents an hour).

4. 1000+ hours of website building & little knowledge of HTML/CSS, that's like using a very outdated method when building websites of today (which are mostly automated). I have a little graphics & video editing skills, could use improvement though.

5. A little over a year of reading & trying to learn a few different coding aspects, BBcoding was the simple start over a year ago (mining was the real start, took weeks of trials & errors to get it down for CPU / GPU / SHA / Scrypt devices). Also learning how to find the specifications in the source code, still interested in learning more about reading into the code. I have tested over a 1000 wallets (apps), almost every exchange & every pool out there (really enjoy the improvements over the years of User Interface designs & ease of use).

I think that about covers it, sure I may have missed several skills & areas one excels in.

Thanks for the opportunity,
Testing Crypto

first of all, thx for your nice post :)

- good skills in communications, i like :)
- you could maybe help out in the forum for "mining and pools" to help newbie s and to get the miners up on gld ?
- if you want to get deeper in the code you should maybe ask "Akumaburn" he is the main Developer.
- I really appreciate your point 4. with HTML/CSS and graphic improvement.

Looks good, because we need People who communicate with us and the community and we need a graphic update :-)

+1 for your really nice post from me  :) I will talk about you with Micro Guy.

Hey microguy, thanks for the pm chat. I am interested in the social media position. I am @bitcoinbegger on twitter. I have a personal facebook account so I am also familiar with the outlet. I have been promoting crypto for almost two years now via twitter. Learned a few tricks of the trade and would be able to help naturally grow your feeds. Twitter is my main source for promoting crypto. No hurt feelings if you pass on me.
