Overview:

You will work with me in developing a Woocommerce plugin for accepting Goldcoin using the Coinpayments.net API.

I already have a test site with several working Bitcoin plugins we should be able to easily adapt. Initially, this plugin will not need to have an exchange rate function as all products will be priced in GLD. The developer will be provided with Wordpress access and FTP access as needed. The project should be completed within 14 days.

Wordpress plugins are written in PHP. This is an example of a plugin that works with bitcoin: https://www.cryptowoo.com/

1.  What service does WooCommerce use now for the coins it currently supports?  Is it CoinPayments.net?

There are a number of bitcoin/cryptocurrency related plugins available for WooCommerce. For this project, we will be developing a "Goldcoin Payments" plugin for WooCommerce. It will support Goldcoin only and use the Coinpayments.net API.

The Goldcoin Payments plugin will support stores using either USD or GLD as base currencies. In addition, this custom plugin will not pass any customer data to Coinpayments.

A developer from bitcointalk.org contacted me last night and has started work on the plugin base. He should have something ready by Tuesday. Then, maybe we can make some refinements and get the plugin published to Wordpress.org. I'm not sure what is involved in this last step?

The Goldcoin Payments plugin is almost complete. You can test it here: http://coinbuilder.org/

If you use the Android app for making the payment, the app is aware of the order name and order amount. On Thursday, the IPN should be ready which let's Woocommerce know the payment has been received.

I'll use any funds received from the test payments for future development of the plugin.
