What special characteristics, features, and abilities does GoldCoin have that Bitcoin does not?
Unlike Bitcoin, Goldcoin is dedicated to the principles set forth in Satoshi's original protocol.
Blockstream/Bitcoin has openly stated they no longer support this design of on-chain scaling. Throttling the main chain and forcing transactions onto side networks weakens the system, changes economic incentives, and increases regulatory exposure of network participants.
In addition to preserving the principles of the original design, we’ve made several additional improvements to harden the network including the design of a 51% attack defense system, and innovative GoldenRiver difficulty algorithm. Our network also has 10X greater transaction capacity and 5X faster transaction speeds.
There is plenty of room for competition in the cryptocurrency space. Competition is what drives us to continually innovate, execute, and evolve.
