some ideas after the client release
« on: March 19, 2018, 09:21:24 AM »
hi @ all,

first i want to say that Goldcoin is a true Open Source Project in terms of Code and Community, so everybody is invited to contribute.

i have some ideas of what can be done after  the new client is released and we got the SPV / Electrum support.
to expand our existing Coin infrastructure we will have some possibillities.

- "keep key" or  "Trezor" solution.
We  are one of the most secure Crypto coins out in space, so we should have a hardware wallet solution to provide security on all levels and make it easy to handle.

- payment app  POS (Point of Sale)
With zero fee transactions and instant 0-conf transactions we provide the dream for merchants they have waited for  :)
there is a start up developing a 0-conf POS app, so it should be "not so hard" to fork that to goldcoin, the code is also Open Source.

- get added to "multi-coin" wallets
there are actually some multi wallets out like coinomi for example.

For me personally, I am most interested in the hardware wallet, electrum style wallet, and POS.

1.  The hardware wallet allows more people to own GoldCoin - needed for mass adoption
2.  Electrum style app allows users to not install the thick client - great for people who want to jump straight into GoldCoin (enables quicker adoption)
3.  POS enables GoldCoin to be used anywhere - it would be great if it could work on Android and iOS along with the General Bytes POS machine: https://www.generalbytes.com/pos/

I would definitely donate GoldCoin (or fiat) if a projects like this were getting started.    goldfund.me?

 good idea  :)
yes that seems like a solid home base for those things xD

- we can get started by ironing out those ideas more in detail, and then push it to the "public" users, something like that.

I was thinking again about the Goldfund.me idea and here are my ideas towards that:

If the ideas are targeted on growing Goldcoin then those Ideas should have the option to accept at least the top 10 CryptoCurrencies and Fiat.
Why?

Example:
We get 50 000 Goldcoins funded for one of those ideas, for that we need to pay things which means we would have to sell the Goldcoins on the open market, that would have a negetive impact especially when the projects gets bigger.

Exception:
We distribute the funded Goldcoins to dedicated Goldcoin Developers who are willing to  HODL the Coins and get the things Developed.
This solution would be very awesome in the long term.

goldfund.me

We at goldcoin india team are building a crowdfunding application where a project will be posted and people will be able to fund it

Each project wil have its own team people can join and contribute to each project as volunteers or as paid the funds so raised will be used to pay towards the expenses of the project and also towards promoting the project.

One more incentive is those who fund the project will also be getting some benefits we are still working on the various possibilities i will keep you updated as things shape up

I'm glad you didn't mean Proof of Stake. Phew!
I'm done with coins that use POS, like StarCoin, Neocoin...
