My new painting "Puzzled"
« on: April 12, 2018, 10:24:13 PM »
This is a video I made for one of my new paintings. I call it Puzzled it's 48 in. x 48 in.  The video is for my gallery that's why I say if your outside the US contact me for shipping fees.

I put on a couple pounds over the past couple of years. Only because I can't do much any more with my disability. I move around to much and I end up in bed because my back and legs kill me. The price I paid for working in construction most of my life.

Nice looking painting!  Have you ever made any GoldCoin artwork for display?

I did a small painting a couple years ago. It's in the studio some place, I'd have to look for it and see if I still have it. Because I paint over paintings that are around for some time. But I could try coming up with something new.

That's a small painting :) I haven't painted one that small in a few years. The smallest I paint now is 18 in. x 24 in. I like painting 24 in. x 36 in. and larger. Because I got into Op Art and abstract painting. My wife keeps telling me I should paint more seascapes because tourist like them. But I don't paint for the tourist I paint for me :) But then on the other hand I do need sales lol Maybe I'll paint some seascapes and do a couple of shows this summer.

stemis,
I was just thinking I did a painting called "Fools Gold". I got the idea when I was watching TV and the guys dove under the ice looking for gold. Maybe I can add some gold flakes to it and change the name to something like "Panning Gold Coins" or a name related to GLD.

I was just looking for a photo of it and of course I don't have one in my gallery or on my PC. Guess I never took a photo of for some reason. It's 24 in. x 36 in. and I did it using acrylic and oil stains. I'll take a photo of it today if I get a chance.

stemis,
Here's a photo of the painting I did that I call Fool's Gold. Like I said I got the idea while watching the guys diving under the ice looking for gold. I'm thinking when I go gold panning this summer I'll add some gold flakes to the painting and change the name to fit Gold Coin. Just need to come up with a title/name for it.

It's 24 in. x 26 in x 2 in.

You can notice the lights reflecting off the painting due to the gloss finish.

Awesome!  When you start to paint again, definitely post some more for sale here.

I did one yesterday and I ruined it trying to take a hair off of it when I was varnishing it. I put a small mark on it and there is no way I can match the color because it was a blend of different 5 or 6 different colors. So I'll give it to someone, maybe my son after he moves into his house. But most likely one of my grand kids will want it.  My granddaughter already has me lined up to do all kinds of paintings when she gets her house :) She's only 19 so I think it'll be a few years before she get's a house. So I'm doing some paintings for her before she gets a house.  I'm no spring chicken if you know what I mean LOL

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Or to quote John Cleese, 'The beholder is in the eye of the beauty.'
I remember the TV series 'The Human Face' with John Cleese and Liz Hurley.
