Just learned about GLD
« on: November 02, 2013, 02:39:59 PM »
I was on coinwarz and I learned about Goldcoin. Thought it would be nice to throw a few hashes into the network. Hope I'm not to late to get the free 200GLD

I could use help setting up for solo mining. I posted in the main Goldcoin thread on Bitcointalk but I hope you see this sooner. what do I actually need to setup to get going? I tried through the wallet but it seems the setgenerate command is disabled.

The address remains valid regardless of what cryptsy does.. Atm everyone's waiting for the difficulty to normalize, once that happens we will look over the current mining situation, once that is resolved to the satisfaction of the pools, we will tell cryptsy to reopen trading.

Shouldn't be more than a few days  8)

Your coins are safe.  :D

For mining assistance you might want to check out some of the how-to guides and the mining forum.

I was able to get mining but with my low hash rate (and bad luck) havn't been able to solo mine any. Just a side note without upgrading to Ubuntu 12.10 (or a crazy amount of packages)the wallet will not load on ubuntu 12.04
