Solo Mining but getting 100% rejects

I've only recently discovered Goldcoin, so I apologise for being late to the party

I was looking to join one of the pools yet i see they are all in maintence mode at the moment, waiting for updates and investigating things I presume. So I thought, I'd give solo mining a shot just for fun. Last night I set-up CGminer and off it went, found 2 blocks in about 15 mins (yay I thought) but i noticed I was getting a few rejects, so I closed miner and messed around with the EXPIRY and SCANTIME settings. Now I'm getting nothing but Rejected blocks..... and wishing I had just left well alone lol

Ive never mined solo so I dont know if getting 100% rejects is normal or its my set up.

Rig mines fine on Pools. I think I either got incredibly lucky finding 2 blocks so close together and quickly, or I have no clue how to set up EXPIRY and SCAN-TIME for a solo mining rig with a pitiful 700Kh/s.

Was wondering if you kind people have any advice for a newb about Expiry and Scan settings? Currently EXPIRY = 30, SCAN-TIME = 1

Ofc once the pools are back I'll be joining one of them. until then I wanted to enjoy the feeling of finding a block. First time I have ever found a block, was very exciting!  (lol i should get out more )

Getting also rejects. They are working on it. Make sure you downloaded new client and that its in line with GLD block explorer.

Thanks Aziz, got the latest client, 0.7.1.4 will just google "Block explorer" and check.

at block 103000 there will be hardfork to fix difficulty. Cross your fingers. Futhermore i am a NOOB in technical issues. Lets hope the devs can fix these mining problems.

Our developers are aware of this situation and have released a client patch. Please make sure you update your client (see news top of this page) before block 103000. Pools will resume operation once network difficulty normalizes.

still rejecting 100%, I'll just wait for the pools to come back online as for some reason my rig seems to hate Solo Mining, shame as it found 2 blocks so easily I thought I was gonna be a GoldCoin version of Rockerfella ;p

I'm getting 100% rejects too, but there are new blocks being released, so someone must be getting them...

Same here Rejects at 29550 after 30-40mins or so. Yet new blocks appear every 10-30s. I wonder if it something to do with me only having 700Kh/s of power, that I'm just too slow to find a block and submit it.

Would be interesting to know if any of the Mh/s people are having lots of rejects?

Yet I'm still eager to mine solo, so I'm sure I'll keep trying.

I've had my miner running for the past 12/13 hours at about 395 kh/s only 1 card.

So far I've found 19 Blocks Accepted-22328 and had Rejects-268044

I still seem to be getting quite a few rejects after block 103000, was that not when the fix came in?

I'm not sure if the calculator is out, or I'm doing something wrong, but I've typed the current difficulty into it, and I should be finding 16 blocks an hour at difficulty 0.02116937 with 395 kh/s

I have up to 10,000 Kh/s at my disposal, but it seems mining this coin at a heavy hash rate yields worse results. What would you suggest the recommended hashrate to obtain the greatest success of finding a block?
