I am on the correct chain but i gave up solo mining as i have over 150 blocks and every single one is rejected, by my Calculations that is 45x150 = 6750 GLD that i have lost

Hi there,

I am solo mining with the client from the gldcoin.com site.  I see 3200 hps, connectivity (and up to date blocks (green check mark).  I do not show anything that states anything has been sent or received for days now.  I am curious as to if this is even trying.  It seems for a very short while, one of my versions had a counter of sent/received and accepted/rejected, but I do not even see that as it is solo mining.  Any ideas?  I am on the latest version.

I'm using the same Pool but what i noticed is, if i mining in a pool i have a lower hashrate (about 10-15 kh/s less) compared to solomining. The other thing which is just a quick calculation is that 10 Hrs solomining (9 AM to 5 PM (GTM +1)) i managed to mine 5 blocks (225 GLD) while the diff climbed from ~0.5 to ~0.8. Now, 6 hrs into poolmining i got about 49 GLD.

So ether the Pool constantly runs into the 51% protection (pool hashrate now is ~24.5 MH/s, Net hashrate is about 25.3 MH/s) or something else is wrong.

Yes i know, poolmining provides a constant payout while solomining can have 1 block now then 24 hrs nothing and then 10 blocks in the next 5 min.

whats positive is, that the exchange rate is going up again (from 0.00000999 to 0.00001550) which is pretty amazing (thinking of the ~3k GLD in my wallet that i mined when the exchangerate was extremly low^^)!

I noticed it too. The network hashrate is much higher than the client is showing. Maybe the 51% security is preventing the client to show an accurate reading or the network still needs time to normalize. I reported it to GLD devs and they said they are monitoring the situation now. This security is totally new and never ever has a coin tested it. The GLD devs will ofcourse tweak the 51% security constantly untill it works perfect.

Yes saw the price rising. Lot of people are joining Goldcoin through mining and buying. Goldcoin has a huge potential to rise to the top.

I will keep my Goldcoins and will buy a few thousand extra.

You mean like the 51% protection is only reporting 50.99% of it's actual net hashrate? That's an interesting thought and would be plausible. I checked the hashrate of 2 other pools and all 3 pools combined had a hashrate of about 45 MH/s while every pool only reports a network hashrate of about 25 MH/s.

And buying...if i'd know how to calculate GLD/USD with the given exchange rate i'd know how much i'd invest in GoldCoins without regretting it, in case the 51% protection f*cks up everything and kills the coin^^

That's good to hear but it's good to have a backup plan^^

But somehow i currently have more trust in GLD that in USD, Euro or British Pounds. I even wanted to trade my 3,26 ANC in GLD but it seems CoinEX has stopped any ANC transactions and the ANC pool

And i just figured out how to calculate with the exchange rates and it pretty much reminds me of the stock market^^
Selling when the rate is high and buying when the rate is low. And right now the rates on ANC and GLD would be perfect to buy Payday 2 for my friend tomorrow if CoinEX would let me trade xD
