Starting a new mining pool

I have a unused VPS which I wish to use to install a pool to mine goldcoin. Is there any detailed guide about how to install a pool? I tried the instructions made for litecoin pool, but getting some error while executing makefile.

Please help...

I figured out the issue I was facing with makefile

Bou now it seems my VPS does not have enough resources to compile the goldcoind.

Does anyone has any idea what should be minimum RAM required for compile it on ubuntu server?

Tried to do so, it goes nearly well with 512Mb RAM.

My problem is i'm running ubuntu server 12.04 64bits... and have some incompatible libs  :'(
