Yes, contact support, but I will say that I've had a number of cryptsy withdrawals take over 24 hours. It's very frustrating but I'm actually getting used to it now. The first time I withdrew LTC from them it took over 48 hours. You'd be amazed what people put up with when it comes to cc's! It's a technology in it's infancy.

I leave my rig running 24/7. 3x 7950 GPU's, Temps 50-65, 1.6MH/s stable. I can ramp it up to 2MH/s at the weekends but I don't like doing that. If it's over 2Mh/s it might stop at 3am, then I'll find out at 7am (etc etc). Not the best, so I've opted for stability.
I could push the cards a lot more but I prefer the stability. And I have a day job. I don't want to have to have to worry about it (it's in my attic/loft). I go about my business and check it once in a while.

I'm trying to generate a public GLD address. At the step of importing the private key into my wallet (unencrypted) I'm getting the following error:

I've seen that a few people got this during the paper wallet test. I'm not sure I'm using the correct Private/Public key generator. Which key generator are you all using? I downloaded GLDAddress - Open Source JavaScript Client-Side GLDcoin Wallet Generator but I'm stuck at this point.

particularly no.1 because, software limitations aside, the principle is sound and it's something that need not be executed solely by virtue of a forum/website, but that the whole community can embrace and take part in to promote Goldcoin. For my part, this is what i intend to do:
1. Talk to anyone that cares to listen about Goldcoin and cryptos; facebook/twitter all play their part, but word of mouth is still very potent! I'm amazed at the number of people i know who are, not surprisingly, aware of Bitcoin, but have no clue as to what it is and how it works.
2. Seize upon the remotest flicker of interest by instructing them on how to obtain their own Goldcoin wallet.
3. Promise them that, once their wallet is running, if they send me their GLD address, i will send them their first 5 Goldcoins.
4. Tell them, when they inevitably ask, how much 5 GLD is worth in GBP/USD/whatever. Them remind them how much 5 Bitcoins are currently worth.
Of course, it needn't be 5, it depends how generous you're feeling / popular you are!! The point is to get word out there, and trends are everything.
How about this then:
Guerilla Advertising - We have a front man. His name is MicroGuy. MicroGuy (if you're listening), hire a helicopter and drop a sack load of paper wallets (loaded with 1 GoldCoin) over Manhattan! Instructions for downloading a GoldCoin wallet on the reverse of the paper wallet.
I'd donate 1000 GLD for that cause (and I'll fly over from London to bail you out!!!:D)

Thanks for the replies. I can see the difficulty here. Hopefully someone will find a way to overcome these limitations. The major thing people seem to be asking is just exactly how to get hold of GoldCoins.

If you have 3x MSI 7950 Twin Frozer cards, they can be tuned to run 2MHz using Ubuntu and cgminer. This equates to approx 500+ GLD/day. At current prices you're making approx $48 per day if you sell them as soon as you get them. (9 cents USD each - see here http://gld.skillerzforum.com/). Do hold onto some though. They are grossly underpriced, and will get to $10 at least at some point. They could even go higher

AND
If you want out, you can sell the GPU's. They're valuable, and rare, so as well as making profit you have an out if you ever have enough of mining.

*The value of your investment can go down, as well as up* (but fortune favours the brave!)
